7/30/14 at 22:29 Hrs. Station 120 was dispatched for a kitchen fire at Sharon's pizza/ bar. Being a commercial alarm, stations 140,160,180,100, and Westmoreland 41 were also dispatched. Blairsville PD was quickly on scene with a working fire, partial collapse in the bar area, and fire thru the roof. One male unaccounted for. Rapid fire spread,and downed power lines hindered rescue attempts. Apparatus and crews from 120,140,160,180,100, Westmoreland 41,71,77,89,and 113 all assisted on scene until 17:52 Hrs 7/31/14. After the fire was controlled the State police fire Marshal and crews located the victim in the bar. A B side apartment building and Check's photography also sustained damage.

On 1/19/2016 Station 120 was activated by Indiana County 911 to assist station 330 with a barn fire on Clarksburg road. Assistant 330 went on scene with a fully involved structure w/ exposures. E121 assisted with B side exposure protection. 330, 131,120,290,310,140, along with other companies for tanker assist.
At 0600hrs stations 132, 71, and 41 where dispatched to a structure fire on Shady Hollow road. 132 A1 went on scene with a working fire, fire in the attic space. A tanker assignment was then added to the alarm. Crews remained on scene for several hours, until the fire was contained. The PSP Fire Marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.

7/24/14 @ 19:57Hrs. Station 132 was dispatched to Assist Sta. 41 with a working structure fire on W. 2nd Ave. E-41 was the initial attack crew, with & station 71 laying in from a nearby hydrant, and additional manpower. 132 A-1, A-3 both responded, A-1 took accountability at the front door, while A-3 assisted with operations and safety. At 10:40 Hrs. Stations 140 and 120 where dispatched by Indiana County 911 for a coal truck overturned, at the route 119 North bound on ramp, with entrapment. 140 A1 arrived on scene to find the driver out of the vehicle. Crews from R-141 and Service 124 remained on scene for traffic control, and to assist with the clean up until 14:09 Hrs.
0:434 Hrs. Station 120 was dispatched by Indiana County 911 to assist station 180 with a commercial structure fire at V- King Company on route 954. E -121, E-123, and A-1 all responded to the alarm. 180 Command asked for our units to establish a water supply. E-121 and A-1 found a nearby pond along route 954, and 121 was placed and began drafting from the pond. E-123 laid in a 5" supply line to Indiana's E-102. At 1643 hrs Station 132 was dispatched by Westmoreland 911 to assist station 92 with a working structure fire in hillside. First arriving Officers found a fully involved garage. E41 was first in, crews advanced lines, E132-1 laid in from a hydrant at the end of the drive, and supplied E41. Manpower was used from E132-1, E132-3 , Service 132, stations 92, 41 and 71, for fire suppression and overhaul. All 132 units cleared approx.1800 hrs.
05:20 hrs. Station 120(Westmoreland 132) was dispatched to standby in station 41(Derry) while 41 crews assisted 113 with a working structure fire in the city of Latrobe. E132-1 remained on standby until approx. 07:45hrs. with no other service calls.
At 00:15 hrs. Station 120 was dispatched with station 140( Blacklick VFD) to assist with a structure fire on Ash St, Burrell Twp. 140 Chief on scene with a working fire in division 2, and the attic. 2/09/14 21:59hrs. Station 132 dispatched for a structure fire at the Cheese House. 132 Chief on scene with heavy fire on the B/C corner, of the 1 story wood framed structure. E132-1 arrived shortly after 132 Chief, and began defensive operations. Command called for truck 146, and additional companies for manpower. Stations 120 and 140 were dispatched for a MVA with injuries on route 22 at Litner drive. Rescue 125 and Engine 121 on scene found a 5 car accident with numerous injuries and 2 people pinned. The crews from Blairsville and Blacklick went to worked extricating the 2 patients while ems handles the injured. 2 Helicopters were brought in and patients were flown to local trauma centers.
At 4:30 am crews dispatched to assist the Homer City fire department with a large commercial building fire. On scene crews from Engine 121 and service 124 assisted with water supply, extinguishment and protecting the exposure's. Crews operated for almost 8 hours until being released and put on standby for a another department still working on the scene.
Stations 120 and 140 where dispatched to RT. 22 at Lintner road for a MVA with reported entrapment. On scene Crews found a small car and a water truck had collided in head on type of accident with on patient still trapped in the car. Crews from 120 and 140 rapidly worked together extricate the patient and transferred care to awaiting EMS units.
Blairsville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 0902 for a residential structure fire. Engine 121 was the first truck on scene with 5, and started the interior attack. Engine 123 was next on scene and sent their manpower inside to assist. Rescue 125 arrived on scene and assisted with interior actions. Crews were on scene for approx 3 hours.
Blairsville Volunteer Fire Dept was dispatched by Westmoreland County for a tree down on a handicap ramp, residences unable to get out of the residence. Upon arrival a large tree was found to be on the residence and blocking a handicap ramp. Part of the tree was cut and removed. Crew also assisted with placing a board over a hole in the ramp from the tree.
Blairsville Volunteer Fire Dept responded to multiple trees down over our area due to strong storms that moved thru the area.
