BWRT

Blairsville Water Rescue Team (BWRT). The BWRT is a Swift Water Rescue and Dive Team made up of Members from Blairsville Fire Department, along with Members from surrounding Departments. Team Members have completed additional training beyond that of regular Fire Training.  These classes include:The PA Fish and Boat Commision;Swift water Awareness, WRER, Advance Line Systems, Boat Operations, and Ice Rescue.  Divers have a variety of specialty training such as: Naui Basic Open Water Diver, Advance Diver, Rescue Diver, Ice Diver. Along with certification for specialized gear; Full face mask, Dry Suit, and more.  All BWRT Members have gone a step above to further themselves and the team by completing the additional specialized training. We would also like to recognize the commitment of Team Members that are from outside Departments. Not only do they respond to the calls and duties of their local Department, but have taken it upon themselves to be apart of, and respond along with The BWRT to aid those in times of need. All BWRT Members are listed on our Members Page to recognize their participation with the team.
